【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardpresentsaseriesofgraphicalsymbolsfordentalinstruments.Theyaresetoutparticularlyforthisareaofdentistryorcorrespondingspecificareaswithindentistry.GeneralsymbolsaretakenfromrelevantISO,IECorotherinternationaldocuments.Severalnewsymbolspresentedbymanufacturersorusershavebeenadded.Becausemanydentalproductsareconsideredinsomecasesasmedicaldevicesandinsomecasesnotasmedicaldevices,indentistrytherestrictedusageofthesymbolsspecifiedinISO15223isconsideredasnotpractical.ItistheintentionofthisInternationalStandardtoexpandtheapplicationareaofsomegraphicalsymbolsspecifiedinISO15223tothewholeareaofdentistry.ThereforethesesymbolsarelistedinthisInternationalStandardtogetherwiththeirsourcedocument.NOTEInadditiontotermsusedintwoofthethreeofficialISOlanguages(English,FrenchandRussian),thisInternationalStandardgivestheequivalenttermsintheGermanlanguage;thesearepublishedundertheresponsibilityofthememberbodyforGermany(DIN).However,onlythetermsgivenintheofficiallanguagescanbeconsideredasISOterms.
