【摘要】:Thispracticecoverstheconversiontablesandequationsforconvertingkinematicviscosityinmm/satanytemperaturetoSayboltUniversalviscosityinSayboltUniversalseconds(SUS)atthesametemperatureandforconvertingkinematicviscosityinmm/sat122and210?F(50and98.9?C)toSayboltFurolviscosityinSayboltFurolseconds(SFS)atthesametemperatures.Kinematicviscosityvaluesarebasedonwaterbeing1.0034mm/s(cSt)at68?F(20?C).Note1AfundamentalandpreferredmethodformeasuringkinematicviscosityisbyuseofkinematicviscometersasoutlinedinTestMethodD445.Itisrecommendedthatkinematicviscositybereportedinmillimetressquaredpersecond,insteadofSayboltUniversalSeconds(SUS)orSayboltFurolSeconds(SFS).ThismethodisbeingretainedforthepurposeofcalculationofkinematicviscositiesfromSUSandSFSdatathatappearinpastliterature.Onemillimetresquaredpersecond(mm/s)equalsonecentistoke(cSt),whichisanotherunitcommonlyfoundinolderliterature.TheSIunitofkinematicviscosity,mm/s,andtemperatureindegreesFahrenheitarethestandardinthispractice.
